10 PruCan Headcanons of Mine

1. The first time the two ever met face to face was during World War II when Canada led his troops against Prussia and Germany's. Prussia's first impression of Canada in the heat of battle burned itself into his mind: A man with cold purple eyes who fought with determination and a single mindedness that almost scared Prussia. Even after the war ended, Prussia found himself fascinated with the quiet country. When Canada gave him the syrup on April Fools day, Prussia was ecstatic to get the chance to know this mysterious man who intrigued him so much.

2. Early in their friendship, Prussia decided to thank Canada for giving him maple syrup on April Fools day. Using one of Germany's favorite recipes, he baked a cake and decorated it with red and white icing. It was one of the rare times that anyone could remember Prussia going out of his way to do something nice for someone.

3. The reason why Prussia calls Canada "Birdie" is interesting. When Prussia introduced Canada to Gilbird, who flew on top of Canada's head and rested there the same way he did with Prussia. The ex-nation jokingly said that Gilbird must have thought that Canada was his Mother bird as opposed to Prussia's Papa bird. He started calling Canada "Mother Bird" but immediately shortened it to "Birdie" because it was easier to say. It soon stuck.

4. It was frightening for both countries when they realized they were falling in love with each other. Although Prussia bragged about being a ladies man, it was mostly hot air, and he was confused about why his heart seemed to beat faster when he looked at the Canadian. Having been very religious in his early years, he was also afraid that it was wrong to feel the way he did for Canada. For Canada, it was also scary. He was afraid that Prussia didn't love him back and that even if a relationship did happen, that Prussia would one day forget him and walk away. Canada was afraid of being alone again.

5. Their first kiss was at the end of a rainstorm. They were walking together through a forest as the clouds were beginning to disperse and scattered rays of sunlight made the fallen droplets glitter on the grass. In the quiet beauty of the moment, Canada whispered, "I love you." Prussia was initially stunned that his feelings were reciprocated, but he leaned over and gently kissed the surprised Canadian on the lips. Canada kissed him back, and as they broke apart, they looked up and saw a rainbow appear in the sky.

6. The reactions of Prussia and Canada's family to the relationship were varied. Germany and Italy (once they remembered who Canada was) gave the couple their blessings. France was also approving and offered to give Canada some "advice" which was kindly declined. England and America on the other hand, were not as receptive. Both of them knew Prussia's reputation as a member of the Bad Touch Trio, and it took a lot of convincing on Canada's part to make them grudgingly accept the relationship. Even when they finally accepted it, they both threatened Prussia with physical harm if he hurt Canada in any way.

7. Due to political reasons, Prussia and Canada can't get married but Prussia does live in Canada's house and they act a lot like a married couple. Their countries have never really had any ties, but they think that it is for the better and either way, Prussia is not a country anymore so they don't have to worry about it.

8. Prussia and Canada bring out the best in each other. Whenever he's around Canada, Prussia is noticeably less obnoxious and he acts very sweet and caring. Canada finds that he has more courage to speak out when other countries forget him if Prussia is at his side.

9. Prussia would rather die than admit it, but Canada sometimes tops during sex.

10. Their relationship involves copious amounts of cuddling. Prussia has a weakness for cute things, that makes him want to hug and snuggle with Canada when they are alone together. Canada loves being cuddled, it makes him feel loved and reminds him of the old days when France had raised him and he had been remembered.
